Walking on the road to Jerusalem,
the time had come to sacrifice again.
走在住耶路撒冷的路上，又是献祭的时侯了

My two small sons, they walk beside me on the road.

我的两个小儿子，一路伴在我身旁

The reason that they came was to watch the lamb.

他们来的原因就是要看献祭的羔羊。
Daddy, daddy, what will we see there.
There's so much that we don't understand.
爹地，爹地，在那里我们能看到什么？ 有这么多事是我们无法理解的

So I told them of Moses, and father Abraham, then I said dear children watch the lamb.
所以我就告诉他们摩西，与我父亚伯拉罕，然后我说：「亲爱的孩子，看着羔羊。」
There will be so many in Jerusalem today, We must be sure the lamb doesn't run away,
今天在耶路撒冷会有很多，我们要确定羔羊不要跑掉了

And I told them of Moses, and father Abraham, then I said dear children watch the lamb.
我就告诉他们摩西，与我父亚伯拉罕，然后我说：「亲爱的孩子，看着羔羊。」
When we reached the city, I knew something must be wrong,
当我们抵达这个城市，我发觉一定有些事出错了
There were no joyful worshipers, no joyful worship songs,
那里没有欢乐的献祭者，那里没有欢乐崇拜的歌声
I stood there with my children in the midst of angry men,

然后我听到群众咆哮着：「钉他十字架」。

Then I heard the crowd cry out, “ Crucify Him.”
我与孩子站在那里在一群忿怒的人中间
We tried to leave the city but we could not get away,
我想试着离开这城市但我们却走不了

Forced to play in this drama a part I did not wish to play,

身不由己地被卷入这场戏，一个我不想扮演的角色

Why upon this day were men condemned to die,

为什么在这一天，人要被定罪处死
Why were we standing here, where soon they would pass by.

为何我们要站在这里，犯人马上要经过的地方。

I looked and said, even now they come,

当他们走到我面前时，我还边看边想着说

The first one cried for mercy. The people gave him none,
第一个犯人呼求怜悯，但人们却连一点也不给他
The second one was violent.
He was arrogant and loud.
第二个犯人非常凶暴，傲慢而且说话声音粗厉
I still hear his angry voice, screaming at the crowd,
我仍听到他愤怒的声音，在拥挤的人群中喊叫
Then someone said there's Jesus, I scarce believed my eyes,

然后有人说耶稣来了，我不敢相信我的眼睛

A man so badly beaten, He barely looked alive,

一个被打得满身伤痕的人，看起来几乎要死了
Blood poured from His body, From the thorns upon His brow,

血从他身上倾流而出，从他眉毛上的荆冠流出

Running down the cross, Falling to the ground.

往下流到十字架，再滴在地上。

I watched Him as He struggled, I watched Him as He fell,
我看着他忍受着痛苦，我看着他跌倒在地上。
The cross came down upon His back, The crowd began to yell,
背在他背上的十字架同时跌落在地，群众开始怒吼
In that moment I felt such agony, In that moment I felt such loss,
在这时刻我心中感到剧痛，在这时刻我感到茫然无措
Till a Roman soldier grabbed my arm and screamed, you, carry His cross.
直到一个罗马兵丁抓住了我的手臂，粗声对我叫着：「你，背他的十字架。」
At first I tried to resist him, But his hand reached for his sword,
我起初想要反抗他，但他的手已要拔出他的刀来
So I knelt and took the cross from the Lord,
所以我就跪下接受了从主而来的十字架

I placed it on my shoulder. We started down the street

我将它背在肩上，我们开始沿着街走下去，
And the blood that He'd been shedding, Was running down my cheeck
刚才他所流出的血，流下到我的脸颊

They led us to Golgatha They drove nails, Deep in His feet and hands,
他们带着我们到了各各他。他们把钉子钉下，深深地扎入他的手与脚，
And on the cross, I heard him pray, "Father, forgive them";

在十字架上，我听到他祷告，「父啊，赦免他们。」

Never have I seen such love In any other eyes
我从未看过如此大爱，从他眼中流出
"Into thy hands I commit my spirit," He prayed, And then He died.
「我把我的灵魂交在你手中，」他祷告着，随即他就死去了
I stood for what seemed like years, I lost all sense of time,
我站在那里像是过了几年一样，我失去了时间感
Till I felt two tiny hands Holding onto mine. My children stood there weeping,
直到我感到两个小手仍牵着我的手。我的小孩站在那里哭泣
And I heard the oldest say "Father please forgive us, The lamb, Ran away...
我听到大儿子说：「父亲，请原谅我们，羔羊，跑掉了…

Daddy daddy, What've we seen here, There's so much that we don't understand,"
爸爸，爸爸，我们在这里看到了什么？有太多的事是我们不理解的。」
So I took them in my arms, We turned and faced the cross

所以我就用双臂抱着他们，我们转脸仰望十字架。

And I said, "Dear children watch the lamb.”

我说道：「亲爱的孩子，看羔羊。」
